THANKS MARGOT!!!!!

We have had a lot of media on campus at the hospital because we were fortunate to be able to help our Hurricane Katrina patients be reunited with their families. In 3 days alone, I got in my full 40 hours...so it was wonderful to come home to my final SP5 package and to learn who my generous pal was...Margot! My last package contained two Lorna's laces sock yarn in Miata (pinks and purples...yum!), 3 skeins of Hemp yarn in red, a hand-made project bag (perfect for my love of sock knitting), a hand-made bumble bee stitch marker, a zipper bag perfect for knitting tools or to make sure I know where all of my crochet hooks are located, and a cool dice game for the whole family! YOU SO ROCK MARGOT!

And yeah, I finally finished my clap and wore it on Friday to work...lots of compliments. In retrospect, I definitely like it better alternating the two skeins...thanks for the great suggestion Margot!

Reality TV Junkie meets Bachelor Mary

On Sept 1, I was fortunate enough to attend an art opening of Jules Burt (she designed all the funky mugs for Friends) with all proceeds going to the National Music Foundation to keep music classes funded in the public school system. Tampa native Mary Delgado was on hand to unveil the high heel sculpture that Jules designed. All taking place at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino. Mary was sweet and gracious and very willing to take multiple pics...check out her jeans. Jules painted them for Mary the night before!

1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?
I have morphed into a snob over the last several months...I really enjoy working with fibers that feel great in my hand (probably due to my arthritis)...love Lorna's laces, koigu and anything by Noro.

Don't spin but would love to learn and I do know how to crochet but choose to knit instead.

I am very fortunate no allergies...however strong perfumes will trigger a mirgaine attack.
